Environmental Research & Education Foundation (EREF): The Environmental Research & Education Foundation (EREF) funds and directs scientific research and educational initiatives for waste management practices to benefit industry participants and the communities they serve.
EREF’s four core programs include:
- Research Grants: More than $15 million in projects that help shape policy, develop sustainable practices, bring value and direct the future of solid waste management.
- Scholarships: Educating the next generation of solid waste researchers and technical personnel – nearly 65 scholars thus far, totaling nearly $1 million.
